October 21 Mt. Mitsutoge 1785 meters (This mountain is close to Mt. Fuji) About 2.5 hours on the train from where I live.
This mountain is also a good place to practice rock climbing. See photos from Mt. Mizugaki here.

Mt. Fuji is 3776 meters high. I climbed Mt. Fuji in August. Many people had altitude sickness. I was OK.

The tracks you see on Mt. Fuji are trails for bulldozers.


Japanese serow. I thought it was a dog.


I don't rock climb. Looks interesting though.
